Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a bilingual QA Coordinator in New York Medicaid Choice (NYMC) Project in New York, NY! The incumbent should be able to read, write and speak fluently in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese). 

This position reports to the Supervisor - QA. 

Position Summary 

  • Develops, maintains, and applies an effective quality assurance program for Central office operations and Field operations. 
  • Develops and maintains an effective quality assurance program which is applicable to subcontractors. 
  • Participates in the development of project goals and objectives, and monitoring achievement of those goals. 
  • Participates in project training activity for the purpose of achieving or maintaining quality assurance goals. 
  • Participates in departmental administrative tasks  
  • Develops and implements corrective action plans and ensures corrective action plans are carried out and documented accordingly. 
  • Effectively communicates with all facets of project to further quality assurance goals. 
  • Ensures reports are accurate and all standards are being met.  
  • Utilizes MAXeb and other systems applications for researching  
  • Researches and resolves processing issues.  

What You'll Need 

  • Must at least 1 or more years work experience in New York Medicaid Choice programs.  
  • Must be knowledgeable about New York Medicaid Choice program policies and procedures, program objectives and enrollment processes. 
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and solution oriented.  
  • Experience in a quality assurance position in health or human services field.  
  • Ability to work independently.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.  
  • Must have the ability to use spreadsheet or database software. 
  • Must read, write, and speak Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese). 
  • Must be willing to travel within the Tri-State area. 
  • Experience using MAXeb preferred.

•Must own car and willing to travel
•Willing to represent at Fair Hearing when necessary
•Must be able to read and write fluently in one of the following languages: Russian, Creole, Spanish or Chinese
•Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position.
•Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Manager.

Required EducationBachelor’s degree in business, education, computer science, statistics, health, social services, or related field or equivalent experience in which a high school diploma or equivalency is required

Required ExperienceMust be knowledgeable about New York Medicaid Choice program policies and procedures, program objectives and enrollment processes; must at least 1 or more years working in New York Medicaid Choice programs
Preferred ExperienceQuality Assurance
