St. Francis Medical Center is a regional acute care hospital focused on the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. We are a part of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, which is the largest locally owned, not-for-profit, Catholic health system in Louisiana. As such, our hospital has access to a great many resources across Louisiana and Mississippi - helping us to fulfill our mission.
St. Francis is comprised of a medical center, community health center, surgery & heart center, and our very own medical group. We offer many services including Cardiovascular, Critical Care, Emergency, Imaging, Neuroscience, Orthopedic, Surgery, and a 310-bed Tertiary Referral Center. We have a Hospitalist/Intensivist Program and operate the area’s only Level III Pediatric ICU, NICU, and OB Units. In 2021, our facility became a designated Level III Trauma Program. With these and additional services, St. Francis provides easy access to comprehensive care throughout the community.
