PURPOSE OF THE JOB
  • This role is part of the Roofing Business and is accountable for performing daily outbound transportation tasks and carrier related communications for multiple *** manufacturing facilities.
  • The Senior Logistics Associate (i.e. TSS ) will assign daily freight to the *** carrier base to meet delivery dates of customer orders in a cost-effective manner.
  • The TSS will collaborate with Customer s, Carriers, Manufacturing Facilities, Customer Service Specialist s, Logistics Analyst, Material Planners and other OC organizations as necessary to identify and troubleshoot issues to ultimately deliver our product on-time and damage free.
  • This role will require the TSS to embrace and actively display the *** values, stands and purpose.

Logistics Lead Specialist Span of Control
Individual role with assigned responsibilities
  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Managing service for our Customers:
    • Ensure timely and damage free delivery
    • Actively manage carrier performance
    • Proactive customer communication
    • Support OC plant activities to ensure timely loading
    • Verification of loading and delivery of material
    • Leverage basic supply chain understanding to maximize value for our customers
    • Recognizing and acting on customer opportunities
    Understand basic OC product knowledge Metrics:
    • On Time Delivery to Carrier Performance
    • Carrier Capacity Management and Compliance
    • Late Delivery Notification
    • Escalation Responsiveness
    • Management of Balance Dues
    • Warehouse and Transportation Capacity Management
    Grow financial value:
    • Optimization of carriers to ensure cost effective delivery of goods
    • Drive decision making around individual business strategy to best support customer expectations
    • Identify rate gaps and related actions
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor s degree preferred EXPERIENCE:
    • Supply Chain knowledge and experience preferred
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    • Exposure to large integrated software systems (TM, ERP, CRM, SAP,) Preferred
    • A high degree of professionalism and coaching skills Required
