The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing logistics for advancement events that will deepen the engagement and philanthropic support of the Oakland University community. This position will interact with a variety of the University partners to ensure the vision and purpose of each event is fulfilled. As part of the Advancement Events team, provide event support of larger-scale events, In addition, the Event Coordinator will maintain complex events budget for Advancement Events.

Bachelor's Degree in marketing, event planning, hospitality, communications or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
One to two years of experience in managing the logistics of events including event logistics, contracting and bid-process and tracking expenses.
Experience working with and for top level executives and high-ranking officials.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Must be very detail oriented.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
Requires the ability to work extended hours including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.
