A consortium led by Yangtze Ecology and Environment Co., Ltd. (YEE), a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), has recently secured a major environmental project to be carried out in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
The YEE-led consortium won the bid for Chongqing city’s Comprehensive Water Environment Management Project (Phase I) PPP project on September 9.
The project is comprised of seven sub-projects spanning a number of key facets of river protection including drainage, network testing, network restoration, diversion, sewage plant construction, water works construction, ecological corridor construction, and smart water management.
The project will fundamentally improve the Yangtze River’s water, enhancing the quality of life in cities and villages along the river and promoting the sustainable and healthy development of the Jiangjin region where the projects are based.
