CTG kicks off 7.6 billion yuan Yangtze River protection projects in Wuhan-1

China Three Gorges Corp (CTG) kicked off the construction of three Yangtze River protection projects in Wuhan on March 21, providing a boost to the post-epidemic economic recovery in the city.

The three projects, with a total investment of 7.59 billion yuan, will create about 8,000 jobs during the construction period and help secure the fundamental improvement of Wuhan's water quality.

The three projects include a private-public partnership (PPP) sewage project in Caidian District, a new town development PPP project in Xinzhou District and an ecological corridor project in Donghu District, known as China’s Optics Valley.

The projects, among the first batch to stabilize investment and employment in the city, will make sure that all domestic wastewater discharged in those areas is collected and treated to meet required standards, improving the urban water environment in the city and providing a green living space to local residents.
