CTG's Wudongde hits 50 billion kWh mark in power generation

Wudongdong hydropower station, owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), announced that it has generated a total of 50 billion kWh electricity as of November 27, an amount that is equivalent to saving a total of over 15 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 41 million tons.

The station has been in full operation for 1,705 hours this year, and run at full capacity for 750 hours. During the winter, it saw its first annual overhaul since it was fully commissioned. The station formulated the Wudongde Hydropower Station's 2021-2022 Work Plan for Power Supply during Winter Peak Demand, and established a leading group and a task force to coordinate the operation and maintenance of its power units.
