National Key Project Huanghua-Dajiawa Railway Completed

At 1:18 p.m. on October 28, the last 25-meter section of track was installed at the location designed to be the future Huanghua South Railway Station, marking the completion of the Huanghua-Dajiawa Railway, a national key infrastructure project in China.

The Huanghua-Dajiawa Railway is a key project included in China’s Middle- and Long-term Railway Network Plan and Three-year Action Plan for Promoting the Transport Structure (2018-2020). As a national Class-I, single-track heavy-haul electric railroad, it extends 216.8 kilometers.

Since the railway project resumed construction in March, Shuozhou-Huanghua Railway Development Co., Ltd. has promoted epidemic control and work resumption at the same time. In line with the requirements of the construction schedule, the company organized a series of labor competitions among builders to ensure the railway would be completed by the end of this year. Such activities accelerated the construction process of the project. Meanwhile, it adopted measures such as increasing investments in pier and girder molding and mechanical equipment and introducing multi-team 24-hour continuous construction, effectively shortening the project’s planned construction period while ensuring its safety and quality.

It is reported that the Shandong section of the Huanghua-Dajiawa Railway has entered the stage of equipment debugging and static acceptance inspection. Construction of the Hebei section is entering the last sprint phase, such as bridge jointing, telecom, signal and power system installation, and supporting facilities construction. According to plans, the Huanghua-Dajiawa Railway will receive preliminary acceptance inspection in early December and begin operation by the end of this year.
