Longyuan Power’s Largest Offshore Booster StationDebugged and Delivered

The booster station for Sheyang Offshore Wind Farm of Longyuan Power (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. under China Energy was shipped from the Yingji wharf in Jiangsu Province on August 20. It is the largest booster station in all offshore wind power projects invested and constructed by Longyuan Power.

The offshore booster station is ready for shipment after completing all electric equipment tests.

The Sheyang Offshore Wind Farm plans to have a power generation capacity of 400,000 kW. According to the design plan, the project will install a 220kV offshore booster station. With a pile-supported jacket-structure foundation, the booster station has three layers and measures 50 meters long, 45 meters wide and 23 meters tall, with a total weight of about 4,000 tons.

The offshore booster station is about to be shipped.

Despite the negative impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, Longyuan Power began to build the offshore booster station on February 6. The first part of the booster station was completed on April 22, and began assembly outside the workshop on May 5. The assembly was completed within three months, one month earlier than scheduled. In spite of the 45 rainy days in the period, the company formulated meticulous plans to complete the task that seemed impossible. After passing all electric equipment tests, the booster station was delivered, creating favorable conditions for the wind power project to begin operation by the end of this year.
