Huaneng spared no effort to guarantee electricity for the earthquake-hit Lushan County

When the earthquake hit Lushan County of Sichuan province on April 20, the power supply there was once interrupted. At 19:30 on the same day, Huaneng Tongtou Hydropower Station was the first to resume power generation, providing strong support for emergency power utilization and orderly implementation of emergency rescue and disaster relief in Lushan County. By 8:00 of April 23, four units (140MW) of Huaneng Baoxing River Company were able to get reconnected to the power grid.

On the day of the earthquake, the 11 power stations (1,465.5MW) of Huaneng Sichuan Branch Company maintained normal operation, providing strong support for earthquake relief work in the stricken areas like Lushan and Baoxing counties.

On April 21, Huaneng Baoxing River Company emergently mobilized 120-KW diesel generators to provide electricity for on-site earthquake relief command and some disaster victims in Lushan County.
