Nine fishermen rescued by the “Haineng” Ship of Huaneng Shanghai Time Shipping Co.

On August 12, Huaneng Shanghai Time Shipping Co. Ltd. received a thank-you letter from Weihai Maritime Safety Administration and Weihai Maritime Search and Rescue Centre, which spoke highly of the important role played by the “Haineng” Ship of the Company in the rescue of fishermen in distress, as well as the contributions of the captain and each crew member with good professional skills and respectable spirit of humanitarian assistance.

On August 9, the “Haineng” Ship of Huaneng Shanghai Time Shipping Co. rescued 9 fishermen in distress during implementation of its transportation task. At around 3:00pm that day, the “Liaosui Fishing 35182” Ship collided with the “Qinfeng 11” Ship and almost flipped over when performing fishing operations at the location of 37°29′N/122°49′E in Weihai sea area, which put the lives of those fishermen on the ship at serious risk. After receiving an emergency order from the Weihai Maritime Safety Administration and the Chengshantou Vessel Traffic Control Center, the “Haineng” Ship of Huaneng Shanghai Time Shipping Co. Ltd. immediately spared no efforts for the rescue. As a result, nine out of the ten fishermen were all successfully rescued, except one reported missing.
