Delegation of Laos Federation of Trade Unions Paid a Friendly Visit to Guangxi Power Grid

On March 3, six members from the delegation of Laos Federation of Trade Unions (LFTU) headed by Pan Noymany, Central Committee member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the LFTU, visited Nanning Power Supply Bureau of Guangxi Power Grid Company. They were accompanied by officers from the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) and the Federation of Trade Union of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Paying successive visits to the company’s Zhou Yibo Model Worker Innovation Studio, Zhuyuan business hall, electric power base for science popularization and 95598 call center, the delegation learned about the role of model workers in innovation and improving efficiency, the construction of “home for the staff”, democratic management, convenience service for the public and the development of green grids. Both sides exchanged their views in a friendly manner. Ban Normany said that Guangxi Power Grid Company and its subsidiary Nanning Power Supply Bureau were proficient in organizing trade union and their union activities were rich and colorful. Currently, electricity is indispensable to the ongoing high-speed rail project between China and Laos. He expressed the hope that China could enhance cooperation with Laos in projects of hydropower station, thermal power station and solar power generation, so as to promote economic development in Laos.
