Guangxi Power Grid Builds First Wireless Power Transfer Lanes for Electric Vehicles

Recently, Guangxi Power Grid’s “key technical research on wireless power transfer in smart grid” has been checked and accepted. Guangxi Power Grid has built the first wireless power transfer lane for electric vehicles, which can supply vehicles with electricity on site through wireless power transfer and has been put into use.

According to reports, by the use of this lane, driver’s do not need to consider their vehicles’ electricity capacity, minimizing vehicles’ reliance on batteries and enhancing the endurance mileage, which is not only of great help to the popularization and application of electric vehicles but also of great economic and social benefit. So far, the project has applied 9 patents for invention (all of them are examined and 7 are accredited) and has 20 patents for utility models.
