CHD First Pumped-storage Hydropower Project Approved
Fujian provincial Development and Reform Commission approved Zhouning pumped-storage hydroelectric power station, Huadian's first one of this kind.
Located in Zhouning county, Ningde city, northeastern Fujian province, the 4*300MW station is counted as one of the province's major investments. Initial work started in March 2010 and at the end of the same year the station was included in provincial plan of selecting locations for developing PHES. Feasibility design launched in October 2014 and parts of initial construction work started at the end of 2015.
