China's First Offshore Wind Project Completed the Main Construction
The Zhanjiang Wailuo Offshore Wind Project undertaken by GEDI, which is a subsidiary of Energy China, has completed the installation of the last wind turbine on 18th Dec 2019. Until now, the main part of the construction has been completed and is ready to connect to the grid and start operation.
Wailuo Offshore Wind Project is China's first offshore wind EPC project, and is also Guangdong province's first megawatt level offshore wind project. The total capacity of this project is 198MW; and the project is installed with 36 power units of a capacity of 5.5MW typhoon resistance wind turbines each.
