CTG’s first onshore wind farm in Fujian connects to grid-1

China Three Gorges Renewables (Group) Co., Ltd Company, the new energy arm of China Three Gorges Corp. (CTG), successfully connected all 24 wind turbines of Shanglian wind farm in Fujian province to the grid on May 28.Located in Minqing County of Fuzhou, Fujian province, Shanglian wind farm with an installed capacity of 48 megawatt is CTG’s first onshore wind farm in Fujian and one of the major new energy projects being developed in the region.The wind farm, consisting of 24 wind power units, each with a capacity of 2 megawatts, is expected to generate 93 gigawatt of electricity annually, equivalent to a reduction of 72,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, delivering considerable benefits to the region’s economy, society and environment.
