CTG put China

China Three Gorges Renewables (Group) Co., the alternative energy arm of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), announced that it has put Rudong offshore wind power project, the first domestic flexible DC transmission offshore wind farm, into full operation in Jiangsu Province on December 25.

The wind farm, chiefly financed and constructed by CTG Renewables, is Asia's first offshore wind power project that adopts flexible DC transmission technology. The project is tasked with pooling and distributing the 1.1 million kW of power produced by CTG's Rudong H6 and H10 projects (800,000 kW in total) and CGN's Rudong H8 project (300,000 kW). The converter station has filled many technical voids for domestic ocean engineering sector.
