Yang Kun met with Laurens Jones from American Edison Electric Institute

On 22nd February, Yang Kun, executive vice president of CEC met with Laurens Jones, vice president of American Edison Electric Institute, in Beijing, to discuss further and deeper cooperation.

Yang first introduced the needs of Chinese electricity enterprises “going out” and capacity cooperation in the electricity industry. He expressed the hope that based on establishing regular information of electricity industry mechanism, co-holding meetings and conference activities, knowing more about American electricity market and developing global benchmarking on electricity, further cooperation would be conducted.

Laurens Jones introduced EEI offered different services for members home and abroad, and said it was good cooperation ways to co-hold seminar, exchange electricity market information and develop global benchmarking. He hoped that CEC could help Chinese enterprises get a further understanding about American electricity industry.

Both sides agreed that cooperation would be further promoted under the framework of MOU and reached a consensus on cooperation direction.
