On September 12, 2020, China Electricity Council, together with State Grid Corporation of China held a work symposium on the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Energy Industry Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities Standardization Technical Committee in Beijing.
The conference reviewed the course of the Technical Committee in the past ten years by video. The participants had discussions from the perspectives of the witnesses, supporters, practitioners, adherents and international cooperators of the EV charging facilities, and also put forward expectations and suggestions for the further work of the Committee.
The Committee was established with the approval of the Science and Technology Department of the National Energy Administration in July 2010, with China Electricity Council as its secretariat. After 10 years of efforts, the charging facilities technical standard system in China has been established, and key technical standards such as charging interface and communication protocol, charging and battery-swapping equipment, construction, operation and maintenance of charging power station, and charging service have been completed, including three charging technical routes, namely, conduction charging, wireless charging and battery swap. Six standardization working groups including high-power charging, wireless charging, battery swap, testing and certification, information security and special vehicles have been established.
