"New Energy + Energy Storage" Technology Application Forum of CEC Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage Branch was held in Zhuhai

On October 16, the "New Energy + Energy Storage" Technology Application Forum of CEC Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage Branch was held in Zhuhai. Wang Zhixuan, Vice President of the China Electricity Council, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Wang Zhixuan pointed out that one of the most important goals of the development of energy and power industry in China at this stage is how to provide people with more stable, more economic and cleaner energy and power supply. After more than ten years, energy storage has gone through the three stages of technology research and development, demonstration applications and the initial stage of commercialization. At present, the energy storage technology of China has not occupied an absolute advantage in the market. In recent years, the market scale of energy storage industry in China has grown rapidly. Driven by the growth of renewable energy technologies, data center, 5G base stations, new energy vehicles and other new power consumption terminals, energy storage technology is expected to see the opportunity of explosive growth supported by government’s science and technology innovation projects and a variety of incentives to expand the business scale.

Twelve experts and scholars from the industry and representatives from CEC members delivered speeches at the meeting, respectively introducing the development of the energy storage industry from the aspects of policies, standards, practices and prospects. The delegates also visited Zhuhai Guanyu Battery Co., LTD.

The Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Branch of China Electricity Council will join hands with industrial enterprises to promote the research on key links of energy storage technology to reach the international leading level and effectively promote the energy revolution and the development of energy interconnection.
